The latest Dune: Awakening hotfix 1.5.3.6 introduces an option to launch the Steam version without the BattlEye anti-cheat enabled for single-player and private or self-hosted servers that do not require it. Multiplayer servers with BattlEye enabled still require the anti-cheat client, and joining such servers without it will cause an error. The patch also improves server and client stability, fixes autosave recovery issues, and resolves a bug where the ornithopter spawned mid-air instead of on the ground after traveling to certain locations. Players should restart their Steam client to receive the update, which went live on October 6, 2026.
