Elite Dangerous introduces the Rhino, a new heavy-duty surface recon vehicle designed for planetary mining. Built by Vodel, a Core Dynamics subsidiary, the Rhino supports up to three commanders and features a planetary mineral scanner, deployable mining rigs, and strong suspension for rough terrain. It deploys from large planetary vehicle hangers on several ships including the Anaconda, Federal Corvette, and Imperial Cutter. Players can choose from Standard, Stellar, or Galactic editions, each offering additional cosmetic and functional upgrades. This release expands surface mining capabilities and team play on planetary surfaces.
